About American Legion Post 39

American Legion Post 39 supports and serves veterans, while also supporting community activities and charities and promoting veteran affairs. Post 39 welcomes all veterans who qualify by having served on active duty in the nation's armed forces during any of the qualifying periods designated by the U.S. Congress (please see the Membership page for more eligibility information).

About the American Legion

The American Legion was chartered and incorporated by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic veterans organization devoted to mutual helpfulness. It is the nation’s largest wartime veterans service organization, committed to mentoring youth and sponsorship of wholesome programs in our communities, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting strong national security, and continued devotion to our fellow service members and veterans.
